Complete process of making pure ghee from milk
6/21/2026
Making ghee is a time-consuming but wonderful traditional process. Here is a step-by-step guide to making ghee from milk on our farm.
Milk collection
First, milk is collected from the cow and boiled thoroughly to ensure that there are no bacteria.
Making curd
Cold boiled milk is made by mixing a little old curd with it and leaving it overnight. The next steps depend on the quality of this curd.
Butter separation
Butter is separated from curd by churning (stirring) in the traditional way. This butter is later the main ingredient of ghee.
Burning butter
The separated butter is slowly burned on a low flame. In this process, the water evaporates and the milk protein accumulates at the bottom.
Straining
After burning the butter, when it turns golden in color and emits a pleasant aroma, it is strained and the sediment is separated. This strained liquid is pure ghee.
Why this method is important
No artificial ingredients or shortcuts are used in the entire process, which results in ghee retaining its natural aroma, taste and nutritional value. We have shown this entire process in our video content, so that customers can see for themselves.
